About Elite:
Currently Team Elite does not have a series to participate in. The NY Empire Series has been replaced by USA BMX's State series. There is currently no team racing at these events that we are aware of. We are working on putting together a team series with nearby tracks and will notify all interested riders when the details are worked out.
Elite Racing is a family focused BMX team. The team offers New Paltz BMX families the opportunity to travel as a group, share information, and cheer on all of the Team Elite Riders in a BIG way!!
The riders are advanced by team manager coaching and peer coaching. This is done in small groups at the New Paltz track during "Team Only" practice sessions.The riders are coached by our Track Director Jerry Patterson and his son Jay. This is very unique to our team and a huge factor in Team Elite's sucess. Riders are given pointers in all aspects of racing and are encouraged to do their very best at all times. This season we saw many riders become racers through extra practice and dedication.
Team Requirements:
Elite racing is open to riders that call New Paltz BMX their "home" track. Joining the team does require a commitment. We ask that our riders participate in as many state qualifiers as possible (all of them would be great).
We also require that our team uniform be worn at all qualifiers. It is the riders responsiblility to purchase this uniform. Purchasing the uniform is the only financial commitment you will have to the team. The uniform is offered at a very reasonable cost due to our sponsor EMPIRE CLS.
